38 weeks

Today little man is 38 weeks, only two weeks until his due date.

Jensen has become quite the little trumpet bum. For a man his size he sure can pump them out. So much so, the nurses can hear him from the other room, and in the still of the night, managed to scare the life out of nurse Caitlyn with his farty ways.

This morning he has had his wires from his chest removed, so now just has the oxygen saturation probe on his foot, and of course his oxygen and feeding tube on his face. His monitor now only displays one number, rather than the usual three.

After 15 minutes of lips closed refusal, Jensen decided to have a breastfeed at 3pm today. That's a major improvement, and if he keeps it up we'll be home in no time. We just need six of these a day to qualify for walking out those heavy doors together.

Other than that, a pretty quiet day today. A quick visit from the dietician to alter his calorie intake, and a few hellos from friendly nurses. Everyone has heard the news about Jensen being ready for Low Dependency and are just as excited as we are.
